Father Of 5 Browns Musical Group Charged With Sexual Abuse

UPDATE: Keith Scott Brown made a surprise court appearance Thursday has pleaded guilty to the charges against him.

Keith Brown, the father of Utah musical act The 5 Browns, has been charged with sexually abusing his three daughters RadarOnline.com has learned.

According to court documents filed last week, Brown is accused of committing the acts against his daughters Desirae, 32, Deondra, 30, and Melody, 26, sporadically from 1990 until 1998.

The women chose to be identified, reports the Salt Lake City Tribune.

A source told the Salt Lake Tribune that the girls only decided to file charges after they found out Brown, who hasn't managed his kids in three years, was seeking children acts to manage.

In an interesting twist, Brown and his wife Lisa were involved in a car accident this past Monday, which destroyed the Porsche they were in and left them hospitalized in serious condition.

Keith Brown, who's charged with one count of sodomy on a child and two counts of sexual abuse of a child, could be sentenced to life in prison for the sodomy charge, and as many as 15 years each for the abuse charges.

He's due in court Thursday.
