No one messes with Joy Behar -- not Bill O'Reilly, and definitely not Snooki.

After a war of words between Snooki and Behar continued to escalate in recent weeks, the pint-sized Jersey Shore star put a stop to the growing tension by apologizing to the panel of The View on the Wendy Williams Show earlier this week, and on Wednesday, Behar officially accepted Snooki's mea culpa.

Here's the juice on the bad blood between the two: Joy admitted she has a nasty "visceral reaction" at Snooki, who reminds her of the kids who teased her when she was young. That being said, she's peppered the MTV star with barbs before, including saying Snooki wasn't Italian.

Snooki and J-WOWW fired back  in  an YouTube clip, in which a fed-up Snooki did her best Behar impersonation.

"You know why I don't like them?" Snooki, imitating Behar, said. "Because these people ruined my life in high school and that's why I have to talk sh*t  about them on my little talk show ... I'm a hater ... but deep inside, I'm f *cking obsessed with Snooki."

On Wednesday, the snappy panel of the top-rated ABC talk hit replayed Snooki's apology, in which she said she's "a big fan of The View and Barbara Walters," before saying, "I'm sorry," which Joy and Barbara graciously accepted.

Said Joy: "I found the apology quite sobering -- maybe that's not the right word."
