We knew Hannibal Lecter's into cannibalism -- but American Idol?!?
Yes, indeed, according to Sir Anthony Hopkins, the Oscar-winning Silence Of The Lambs star who tells Ellen DeGeneres on her talk show Thursday that he's a regular viewer of the Fox hit.
"I saw you actually last year at Idol," Ellen said to Hopkins, who replied, "We waved to each other."
"Yes, we waved to each other," she said. "I just don't think of you as a big Idol fan ... you're a huge Idol fan?”
"Yes, I have been for some years now," Hopkins, 73, told Ellen. "I saw you that night. That was the second time I've been. I think it's terrific. All these kids get up and have a go. That takes a lot of courage.
"That's what I like about it,” the Hannibal star continued. “It must be a feeling of craziness to get up there, to have all that courage to get up in front of millions of people and then win maybe -- it's terrific."
