In the number one spot is Mexican singer/actress Paulina Rubio. Although still relatively unknown in the US the stunning 39-year-old is huge throughout Latin America.

Rubio was placed 7th most successful Latin Pop Song Artist of the last decade by Billboard Magazine recently and her fifth album, Paulina has sold over 21 million copies.

She is married to Spanish public relations executive Nicolas Vallejo Najera “Colate” and gave birth to the couple’s first child last November, a son named Andrea.

Snapping at Rubio’s heels in the hotness stakes though is fellow singer/actress Shakira.

The 33-year-old Colombian born beauty shot to international fame with her 2006 smash hit, Hips Don’t Lie, but she was already a household name throughout her home continent.

Men around the world will rejoice to hear that Shakira is currently single, having split last August from her boyfriend of eleven years, Argentine lawyer, Antonio de la Rúa.

Coming in a close third place is another Colombian born belle, 38-year-old Sofia Vergara.

The actress is rising fast in the international fame stakes with her role as Gloria in the hit ABC sitcom Modern Family.

But Sofia has been famous in South and Central America for years — initially from her modeling work, and then in the late 90s for co-hosting several TV shows.

The stunning single mother is currently dating Delray politico Nick Loeb, whom she met at a Golden Globes party last year.
