"I have been in TV for over 50 years, and I have to say in all honesty that this is one of the best-produced shows I've ever been on," Henderson  - gracious in defeat - said following her elimination. "I've loved this show since it began. I think it's just a tremendous show.

"I hope I've inspired people to get up off their behind and move and dance and live and enjoy life," the 76-year-old actress said.

Henderson's dance partner, Corky Ballas, said his partner this season "has a beautiful aura about her, and I couldn't have asked for anyone better."

The evening also featured performances from pop stars Shakira and Jason Derulo, as well bits related to the week's television theme, such as a commercial for how to dance like judge Bruno Tonioli, and a skit featuring eliminated contestant David Hasselhoff as "The Sledgehammer," an attorney seeking revenge for fellow ousted celeb dancers Margaret Cho and The Situation.
