The 41-year-old comic was voted off Dancing With The Stars Tuesday night, after her 18-point samba in a rainbow-patterned dress Monday failed to earn her enough votes from the viewers or judges to remain on ABC’s ballroom hit.
Cho, who was partnered with Louis Van Amstel, said the show has ignited a passion within her for dancing.
“I thought the judges were really hard on me,” Cho said, “but I think you were hard on me because you could see that I am a dancer for real.
“And I thank you for that,” she said. “I will take that with me forever… thank you for the opportunity to let me dance — I’m going to keep dancing.”
The dance was a tribute to gay pride after a recent spike of gay teen suicides, such as Tyler Clementi, the 18-year-old Rutgers freshman who killed himself after classmates outed him.
Dancing With The Stars‘ eleventh season continues on ABC next Monday at 8/7c.
