Iconic TV Producer Stephen J. Cannell Dies At 69

TV producer Stephen J. Cannell died at 69 from melanoma complications at his Pasadena, California home Thursday night, RadarOnline.com has learned.
The writer-producer of hits such as The A Team, The Rockford Files and 21 Jump Street had his family and friends nearby when he passed away, his family told ET in a statement.
"Aside from being a legendary television producer and prolific writer, Stephen was also a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather, and a loyal friend,” the statement read. “Stephen was the pillar of strength within his family and he touched everyone he met. He will be most deeply missed.”
The producer is survived by his wife Marcia, three kids and three grandkids.
In addition to his illustrious television career, Cannell was also an accomplished author, having published 16 books.
