Cancer stricken Michael Douglas has finished his strenuous course of radiation and chemotherapy for his throat cancer, RadarOnline.com has learned.

And the brave Wall Street 2 star is coping so well, his wife, Catherine Zeta-Jones, has flown to China to participate in a celebrity golf tournament, leaving her husband behind in New York.

Zeta-Jones was photographed during practice ahead of the inaugural Mission Hills Star Trophy overnight in Haikou, China, where she told reporters "it's business as usual in our family".

She admitted playing golf helps take her mind off her worries.

The Oscar-winning actor, 66, was photographed looking thin and frail earlier this week, prompting speculation his health has taken a dramatic turn for the worse.

“Michael completed his treatment about three weeks ago and is recuperating from the process," Douglas' longtime friend and publicist Allen Burry told RadarOnline.com.

“No further treatments are scheduled.”

Burry acknowledged that the treatment has taken a toll on the star, who underwent eight weeks of treatment for a walnut-sized tumor at the base of his tongue.

“He will spend his time recuperating in New York as he can’t travel,” Burry said.

“He remains in good spirits.”
