Some of the biggest names in Hollywood are throwing a party - and you're invited!

Glee's Jane Lynch, Laurence Fishburne, and Marlee Matlin are just some of the stars co-chairing the first ever PFLAG (Parents, Families and Friends Of Lesbians and Gays) Awards Ceremony and Rooftop Party this Friday, October 1st at the London West Hollywood.

Among the night's honorees: Glee's Emmy Award winning creator/director Ryan Murphy will receive the 2010 PFLAG National Outstanding Television Award while FOCUS Features will receive the 2010 PFLAG National Outstanding Motion Picture Award for its critically acclaimed film The Kids Are All Right.

The evening will be hosted by Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Eric Stonestreet of the hit ABC comedy Modern Family. (Stonestreet recently won an Emmy for Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series for his role as one-half of a gay couple.)

Grammy Award winning singer Nelly Furtado will be the night's special musical guest.

"For nearly 40 years, PFLAG's work has supported families and strengthened communities with a message of unconditional love and acceptance," said PFLAG's Executive Director Jody M. Huckaby. "This event will give PFLAG the opportunity to honor entertainment industry leaders who are advancing the same message through their work."

Event Co-Chair Daniel Sladek, the Emmy-nominated Executive Producer of the critically acclaimed Lifetime movie, Prayers For Bobby, echoed Huckaby's remarks. "Ryan Murphy and Lisa Cholodenko have put the stories of LGBT youth, parents, their families and friends in millions of homes and movie theaters around the country.

"We are so proud to honor their accomplishments on this occasion, the first LA Event PFLAG National has produced in its long history as a leader in the LGBT equality movement."

Murphy - whose show Glee features a realistic and positive portrayal of an openly gay character - said he's honored to be included in the event.

"Equality really begins at home, with parents and family members. PFLAG is a vital grassroots organization in this movement, and I'm honored to be one of the first PFLAG LA Event honorees," said Murphy.

Recent Emmy winner Jane Lynch and NCIS' star Pauley Perrette will make special appearances at the event.
