After 54 years on television, the soap opera As the World Turns aired its final episode on Friday and to commemorate the event, RadarOnline.com has compiled a photo gallery of some of the stars who started out on the venerated soap.

Fiery redhead Julianne Moore won a Daytime Emmy in 1988 for her portrayal of half-sisters Frannie and Sabrina Hughes and returned earlier this year to reprise her role.

Young starlets Amanda Seyfried and Emmy Rossum were both on the show in 1999 playing Lucy Montgomery and Abigail Williams, accordingly.

Supermodel Paulina Porizkova appeared in 2009 and 2010 as the character Clarissa as well as the irreverent Parker Posey, who was on in 1991 and 1992 playing Tess Shelby. 

Glee’s Matthew Morrison played Adam Munson for 17 episodes in 2006 while Nick and Drew Lachey guest starred as themselves in two episodes in 1999.

Three years before Dawson’s Creek, James Van Der Beek played the character Stephen Anderson on the soap in 1995. 

American Pie star Jason Biggs played Pete Wendall from 1994 to 1995.

Long before he played the President, Martin Sheen was one of the original cast members on As the World Turns, starring on the show from 1965 to 1970 as Jack Davis. 

Zsa Zsa Gabor appeared on the show as Lydia Marlowe in 1981 and James Earl Jones was on back in 1966 portraying Dr. Jerry Turner.
