Babies (PG) - Welcome to the wordless, gurgle-licious world of global babies with a major dose of cute. In Babies, French director Thomas Balmés follows the first year in the lives of four infants in far-flung locations: one is in the quiet hills of Mongolia, one is in crowded, urban Tokyo, another is in rural Namibia, and one is in eco-conscious San Francisco. With nearly no dialogue, Balmés’s portrait lets us take in life from the very start in very different locations, offering a view of both universal experience and differences across cultures -- and packs a surprising amount of humor (bonus: watch for the San Franciscan baby’s run-in with singing, hippie parents). Coco Chanel & Igor Stravinsky (R) - Who says classical music is dull? Coco Chanel follows the fashion mogul’s wildly risque romance with exiled Russian composer Igor Stravinsky, who moves himself and his family into Coco’s country house. Of course, it’s not all sewing and piano practice for these two. When Igor arrives, he and Coco set the place on fire (figuratively speaking), and it doesn’t get much more passionate -- or dramatic -- than a love affair of creative geniuses in rural France. Get Him To The Greek (R) - Aaron Green is a fleshy, unknown, and ambitious assistant hoping to work his way up in the music world. Aldous Snow is a skinny British rock star poised to make a comeback. When Aaron is sent to London to retrieve Aldous and bring him to the Greek Theater in Los Angeles to kick off a world tour, he finds that the hedonistic artist has more interest in women, booze and a big night out than in heading state-side for a career boost.
