Michael Lohan has launched a manhunt to find the doctor who treated his out-of-control daughter Lindsay for an overdose of cocaine and painkillers four years ago, RadarOnline.com has exclusively learned.

The Lohan patriarch recently visited the popular celeb hangout Chateau Marmont in Hollywood seeking information about what happened on the night of November 12, 2006, when a doctor was forced to revive the hard-partying star at the hotel.

The doc discovered a "stash of cocaine and a pile of prescription drugs" in the room, it was reported at the time.

The responding physician flushed the cocaine down the toilet and bagged up seven different prescription drugs, according to an insider who spoke to the National Enquirer.

In an exclusive interview -- as he left the Chateau seeking information about the incident -- Michael told RadarOnline.com he was compiling information in addition to the Medical Board of California probe into who prescribed a variety of medications to Lohan.

"They better watch out because we're gunning for them and we're going to get them," Lohan told RadarOnline.com.

"This is only the beginning."

He asked the hotel's owner, Andre Balaz, for the hotel's log on the night in question in a bid to find out the doctor's name, RadarOnline.com has learned.

Lohan said, "We're working with the authorities both in New York and here, Federal and State, both areas and we'll find out who these doctors are."

The night at the Chateau Marmont will be central to the Medical Board's investigation, when the Mean Girls star, then 20, was found unconscious in a drug-filled hotel room.

"The doctor insisted, 'This girl had a serious drug overdose. She has to go into a hospital and then into rehab'", it was claimed at the time.

Lindsay refused to be treated at a hospital or to enter rehab.

Investigators for the Medical Board met Michael at the law offices of his attorney Lisa Bloom on September 2.

Bloom had sent a letter to the California Attorney General in July, requesting an investigation into "the unscrupulous doctors who over-prescribe medications."

The matter was referred to the Medical Board, which launched its investigation.

"I'm doing this not only for my daughter but it's other people," Lohan said.

"They can't be doing this, they can't be writing prescriptions out like this -- it's ridiculous. They have to be held accountable and I'm going make sure the ball gets rolling."

As RadarOnline.com first revealed, Lohan was taking a cocktail of amphetamines and the powerful painkiller Dilaudid in the past.

The actress was also using a combination of other drugs, including Adderall - an amphetamine used as part of a treatment program to control symptoms of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder - and the anti-depressants Zoloft and Trazodone.

She also took Nexium, which is used to treat acid reflux.
