To Jen Kornfeldt, (Katherine Heigl) her life is perfect: She’s gotten over a crappy breakup, married the hunky man of her dreams, and moved to the ‘burbs to live in idyllic splendor. But when the bullets start flying, she learns that her husband (Ashton Kutcher) has failed to mention that he’s actually an international spy, and he’s now on a run for his life. As Jen navigates scary bad guys on the home front, nosy neighbors, and the truth about her man, will she ever learn to trust him again? (Katherine Heigl Jen, Ashton Kutcher Spencer)

New DVD Reviews

MacGruber
(R)

Will Forte takes his crime-fighting Saturday Night Live character to the big screen for a full-length edition of the everyman conquering the baddies of the world. As a tongue-in-cheek take-off of TV bad-guy-buster, MacGuyver, MacGruber is a handyman of sorts who becomes a hapless hero. In his movie debut, MacGruber springs into action to take down his nemesis, Dieter Von Cunth, who has a nuclear warhead and plans to destroy the nation’s capital. With his archenemy armed to the gills, MacGruber’s powers of fighting evil are put to the ultimate test. (Will Forte MacGruber, Kristen Wiig Vicki St. Elmo, Val Kilmer Dieter Von Cunth)

Movie Review: The American

Solitary Man (R)

Not every grandpa is the nurturing type -- especially when they’re too busy chasing women and facing failure. Solitary Man follows Ben Kalmen (Michael Douglas), a former car magnate, father and divorcé who’s lost his fortune and is grappling with the tough realities of his life choices. He’s dating the daughter of a well-connected businessman, and spends as much time with his grandchildren as he can (even he won’t let them call him “grandpa” in public). But as he charms his way closer to a professional comeback, he finds himself neck-deep in family and regret, while a dangerous woman in his midst threatens to jeopardize his slog toward a new definition of success. (Michael Douglas Ben Kalmen, Susan Sarandon Nancy Kalmen, Mary-Louise Parker Jordan Karsch, Jenna Fischer Susan Porter)
