Billie Joe Armstrong To Join His Own Musical

The Green Day inspired American Idiot will have a special star starting this week. Rocker Billie Joe Armstrong, lead singer of the band Green Day, jumps in to replace the actor who usually plays the key role of St. Jimmy as the actor it out on emergency family leave.
He’ll perform for 8 shows but even though this is his first turn on a Broadway stage, we’ll think he’ll do just fine since he’s used to performing his songs in front of sold-out stadiums. Armstrong will play songs such as Know Your Enemy, St. Jimmy, Homecoming and Last Night on Earth.
