Looking back at the red carpet fashion of the Teen Choice Awards over the years, one thing is clear: anything goes at the fun and laid back teen-oriented awards show! While many stars have gotten all dressed up in chic cocktail attire, others have taken the casual look a little too far.

Jennifer Lopez may be one of the most glamorous gals in town, but the sultry Latina star hasn’t always dressed to impress in Roberto Cavalli and Gucci gowns.  In 2001, J.Lo was on hand to collect two Teen Choice Awards, but the Choice Female Hottie definitely wasn’t steaming up the stage in her purple sweatsuit! Four years later, Fergie had a misstep when she showed up in denim overalls and a bikini top.

Blake Lively was in full Gossip Girl glam at the 2009 awards, rocking a one-shouldered Tadashi Shoji frock in a powerfully purple hue, while Ashley Greene put herself on the style map, wearing a fabulous and fem Dolce & Gabbana corset ensemble.

Who needs a shirt when they have endless bling?  Usher didn’t even bother putting on a shirt when he hit the red carpet in a furry white coat and white slacks.
