“There are tapes that indicate that they were pretty friendly,” Mel told RadarOnline.com exclusively. “There is visual evidence on Friday night of them being friendly. I have not seen it and the police determined that if it was not intimate it was really close.

“They had an inappropriate relationship because this guy was married. If it wasn’t intimate, it was really close.”

Hess surrendered to Henderson, Nevada, police on Tuesday after an arrest warrant was issued. Hess, who called the police at Blasberg’s home, admitted to authorities that he altered the scene, including removing a note indicating Blasberg had taken her own life. He hid the note in his vehicle along with prescription medications taken from her house.

Mel previously told RadarOnline.com LINK: http://www.radaronline.com/exclusives/2010/08/exclusive-pro-golfer-erica-blasbergs-family-planning-civil-suit-against-doctor that the family was pursing a civil suit against Hess. “Begrudgingly, we’ve started a civil action suit against him,” he said. “This is not what I wanted to do. The only thing I want is to know what happened and move on. He won’t give me that information so we’re doing what we have to do.”

In an affidavit released by the Henderson Police Department regarding the days leading up to Erica’s death, Hess chronicled his time with Erica: Two days before her death, the played golf together and later at the M Hotel and Casino and watched a game in the sports book. After they went home in separate vehicles, Erica sent Hess a text message asking him to follow her home. He left her a voicemail in return saying, “Oh, you couldn’t text me that, you know, a couple of minutes earlier, but, you know, that can’t happen. You know, I’ve got to go home. Play well on your tournament.”

The next day, he went over to her home after she “sounded intoxicated” on the phone. After dumping out the liquor he found and made her shower, they went downstairs and watched TV together. After spending the afternoon and the majority of the evening together, he went home.

According to the document, “Hess stated she was a little bit upset that she had not made her flight. Hess stated he thought she was supposed to be playing in Atlanta or Georgia or something.”
