Material Girl Madonna proved that both her sense of style and dedication to religion are both truly timeless as she celebrated her 52nd birthday in London on Sunday night.

The fashion queen – who made Catholic-inspired bling cool in the 80s - went back to her Like A Virgin roots with large crucifixes both around her neck and clutched in her hand, along with a Lord & Savior Olympus Teneo clutch, and Neil Lane diamond ball earrings dangling from her ears.

Madonna showed off a body that woman half her age would be proud of in a tight-fitting silver Dolce & Gabbana dress.  The pop icon was closely followed by mini-Madonna Lourdes in a black jacket and mini-dress.

Sadly, Sharon Stone’s style isn’t surviving the test of time so well. The Basic Instinct bombshell looked like a tired mom as she dragged her kids out for pizza. She’ll need a serious make over – and a babysitter! – to climb back to the top of the best dressed list.

Hollywood’s younger moms were out in full force too, as Ashlee Simpson, Jessica Alba and Kate Hudson all showed off effortlessly casual summer ensembles.
