Heidi Montag’s mom Darlene Egelhoff made a visit to The Hills on Tuesday’s episode and revealed that the reality star has completely cut off her family.

RadarOnline.com has a clip of the episode.

“I just feel like she can’t live in two worlds and feels like she has to choose between us or Spencer (Pratt),” Darlene said.

On the MTV show, Heidi’s sister Holly said “I tried to call Heidi, but I don’t know how to get a hold of her anymore.” Heidi’s older sister added that she and the other Hills cast mates decided to write off Heidi awhile ago.

“You know you don’t want to do that, you’ve always been her protector. Even if we don’t agree with them,” Darlene said. “…I know she’ll come around, it’s just going to be on her time and on her terms. I know that it doesn’t seem fair, but it’s the way it is.”

Holly even said she tried texting her sister after being forced to get her number from someone else, but there’s no voicemail set up.

“I just worry for her,” Holly said.

“The last you guys saw each other she said ‘call me.’ The last I saw her it seemed she was hurting, but I didn’t think she was going to cut me out of her life completely. I just did not see that coming,” Darlene said.

In an emotional moment, the mother and daughter shed tears as Darlene revealed the relationship turmoil has taken its toll.

“I haven’t slept for months. I had to get a prescription for sleeping pills just to sleep at night to the point I didn’t even know if I would make it another day,” she said. “I’ve been mourning the loss of a child. It hurts; it hurts more than I thought I could hurt. I can’t live like that. I have to know in my heart that I did everything I could do.”
