Robert Pattinson said he’s “very competitive” with his Twilight co-star Taylor Lautner, and touched on his oft-speculated love life in an interview with The Today Show Monday.

“I always want to have better hair than him [and] a better six-pack,” Pattinson told The Today Show’s Jenna Bush at a Los Angeles Twilight convention over the weekend. “No, he’s great. I’ve been pretty close with him throughout the whole series.”

On a separate note, Pattinson was asked if he was interested in a long-term relationship, and said he wasn’t sure if he wanted to “settle down” — but he would like to go on a date.
