Paparazzo Spencer Pratt is about to start prowling around Malibu, targeting celebrities, RadarOnline.com can reveal.

Talk about ‘poacher turning game-keeper,' The Hills star -- who has made a fortune getting his and Heidi Montag’s photograph taken -- has started to buy cameras and lenses, and is looking to recruit photographers too!

Pratt has splashed a large amount of cash on equipment and is determined to launch his own blog and website, kingspencer.com.

A source told RadarOnline.com: “He has bought cameras and lenses and is actively trying to sign-up photographers and get tips about celebrities.

“Spencer is going to target Malibu and he thinks that with all his contacts that he can really make a go of this and make a lot of money.

“It will be interesting to see if he can get it off the ground and if celebrities will actually work with him or if he’ll have to stalk them like any regular paparazzo.”

The reality train-wreck -- who has reportedly split with Heidi Montag -- recently went on Twitter and told his 836,080 followers: “send me all your celeb photos you take with your camera phones and i will post them on my new blog KINGSPENCER.com and give you credit and $.”

At the moment his website's only content is a banner that says the site is "coming soon 6/13/2010."

The source adds: “That’s the thing with Spencer he is always coming-up with all these ideas, so, but you never know which ones he is actually serious about.
