Gibson’s attorney confirmed that the father-of-eight will attend the court appearance later this month. “His primary interest is in not having his time and relationship with his infant daughter, Lucia, interfered with,” Stephen Kolodny told RadarOnline.com.

Grigorieva had previously filed a temporary restraining order against her famous actor ex, claiming that he had abused her and even punched her teeth out in January – accusations that his attorney says are, “Not true.”

He revealed that Oksana only took out the restraining order months after the alleged abuse, when she didn’t want Mel to visit Lucia on Father’s Day

In doing so, she upset the presiding judge by not telling him that she and Mel Gibson already reached a private custody agreement that was mediated by two retired judges.

“Judge Steinberg was not happy about that,” Kolodny told RadarOnline.com

The upcoming hearing will most likely be closed to the public because under California law any hearing involving children in family court is confidential.

It is not known at this time whether Grigorieva will attend.
