Director James Cameron Weighs In On Plugging Massive Oil Spill

Oscar winning director James Cameron has taken Hollywood by the horns, now he's trying his hand in the Gulf of Mexico: the Avatar filmmaker met with officials, scientists and engineers Tuesday, RadarOnline.com has learned, in a summit meeting to stop the massive oil spill that’s been raging since April 20.

Cameron, who has been praised for his  groundbreaking underwater filming techniques and use of remote vehicles, collaborated with the Environmental Protection Agency in ways to curb the damage of the country's worst oil spill ever.

The meeting, according to the EPA, was "part of the federal government’s ongoing efforts to hear from stakeholders, scientists and experts from academia, government and the private sector as we continue to respond to the BP oil spill.”
