COUNTDOWN TO ECLIPSE: Taylor Lautner's Pup-To-Werewolf Style Evolution

Though Taylor Lautner did not become a household name until the 2008 release of Twilight, he was no stranger to the red carpet.  Scoring several roles as early as 2001, when he was only nine years old, the child actor has transformed from little boy-to-Hollywood's hottest werewolf right before the public eye.

As a child actor, Taylor always looked super cute on the red carpet, wearing fun but conservative attire.  After a flush of small roles, the actor scored his big break with the 2005 flick Cheaper by the Dozen 2, starring alongside Steve Martin and Hilary Duff.

Cast as Bella's pal Jacob in the first Twilight flick, Taylor definitely made a name for himself, but he had a lot of work to do before he was plastered on every teenage girl's wall.

After the first Twilight movie, there was speculation that the average-sized teenager wasn¹t bulky enough to play Bella's werewolf love interest in the second installment of the saga, so Taylor rigorously hit the gym in hopes of saving his fame. Luckily for him---and for us---he transformed his adolescent body into a fine-tuned machine, scoring himself the coveted role, and the girl (he briefly dated his Valentine's Day costar Taylor Swift!).

Now a staple on the pages of men's fashion mags and a front row patron of international fashion shows, the Hollywood heartthrob rocks designer suits and tuxes, along with luxe leather jackets and designer denim on every red carpet he pounces on.
