The annual bash, which began as a way for the working White House press to mingle socially with the President, is now a star-studded affair with every network, newspaper and news website competing to have the hottest stars at their respective tables.

Jay Leno was the surprising star of the night, thanks to a poke from the President.
"I am glad that the only person whose ratings fell more than mine last year is here tonight," Obama said. "Great to see you, Jay!" Ouch!
