At one point Wilson Phillips was the best-selling female group of all time, and RadarOnline.com is reporting exclusively they are reuniting.
The 90s pop trio “is very excited to be together again,” says friend and publicist Lizzie Grubman, “They have all been really looking forward to this.”
The group is also known for being the offspring of prominent musicians; Carnie and Wendy Wilson are the daughters of Brian Wilson of The Beach Boys, while Chynna Phillips is daughter of John and Michelle Phillips of The Mamas & The Papas. They’ve sold more than 10 million copies worldwide and had three No. 1 hits with Hold On, Release Me and You’re In Love.
Chynna is fresh from rehab for anxiety and the girls are thrilled to be back on tour. “It’s like a big slumber party. They are truly like sisters.” says Grubman.
The band will have a private event in San Antonio on Wednesday, but fans can catch them May 21 in Phoenix as they kick off their 2010 tour.
“They are excited for their journey together,” says Grubman.
