America’s most famous teenage mom Bristol Palin has lifted the lid on her life raising her baby son Tripp in Alaska.
And in the interview with Harper’s Bazaar the 19-year-old claims to be in ‘no hurry’ to find a new boyfriend and admits that her son’s father Levi Johnston ‘is a stranger to me.”
She also says it was humiliating when she was pregnant at 17.
Sarah Palin’s daughter was photographed by the fashion magazine in an intimate family scene with her baby son Tripp in a tea party themed spread which showcased gowns by designers Carolina Herrera, Lanvin, Issac Mizrahi and Michael Kors.
As a single mom to baby Tripp and the new owner of an Anchorage condo, Bristol Palin is moving forward with domestic life.
Palin reveals she doesn’t want to get drawn on “dirty laundry” concerning her relationship with Johnston and ignores his recent antics which included posing for Playgirl Magazine.
On falling pregnant during the 2008 presidential campaign Bristol told the magazine: “It’s not like we all sat down and were like, ‘Alright, here’s the birds and the bees.’ Truly my parents just assumed that I wasn’t doing anything. And it was a shock for us all.
“It was kind of humiliating… Great, I’m 17 years old, I’m 40 pounds overweight with a big belly on me, all my friends are at school watching this on the news. This kind of sucks.”
Palin – who works an eight to five job as a medical assistant for a dermatologist in Alaska and serves as an ambassador for Candie’s Foundation – revealed that she’s standing on her own feet raising her son alone.
She added: “I’m on my own. I’m really proud of it – I’m a hard worker.
“I don’t have time for friends or anything like that. It’s just like, right, crap, there is a hockey game tonight that I want to go to but I can’t. Or, I do have to go to work today, because I’ve got bills to pay.
“I’m in no rush to date – one day I’ll find a nice guy.”
The famous teenager admits that having a baby so young has meant a drastic change in the way she thought her life would turn-out but that she still totally loves her son.
“I thought I would be somewhere warm at college with my friends, but that was definitely not possible with having Tripp.
“I love my baby more than anything – he’s like a Gerber baby. He’s the cutest baby in the whole world… I just want Tripp to be happy and healthy.”
Bristol’s famous mom Sarah Palin claimed in the article that her family were ‘very proud of her’.
She revealed: “We’re very proud of her for taking responsibility – it’s not an easy road, but it’s the right road.
“Decisions were made and we cannot unwind those decisions. Consequences are being dealt with. I’m sincerely proud of her.”
