Survivor Producer Murder Suspect In Court Friday To Regain Custody Of Kids

Bruce Beresford-Redman will ask a judge Friday to regain custody of his two children. A 10.30 am PT court hearing has been set in Los Angeles, and Bruce will ask for permanent guardianship of his children: Camila, 5, and Alec, 3.

His estranged in-laws are also fighting for custody.

Bruce is suspected of murdering his wife Monica during their recent vacation in Mexico. Her body was discovered inside a septic tank near the hotel where the couple was staying. He went to court ex-parte on Thursday in the custody matter and the judge scheduled a hearing for Friday.

Bruce’s parents currently have temporary custody of the children.

Monica, 41, died of strangulation and also suffered several blows to the head. She was on vacation with Bruce trying to strengthen their marriage after his extra-marital affair with a co-worker was exposed.

As RadarOnline.com reported on Wednesday, the state attorney general in Mexico, Francisco Alor, recently received the results of the forensic tests performed on the body of Monica Beresford-Redman.

Alor revealed he could soon ask a judge to issue a warrant for Beresford’s arrest.

However, the attorney representing the family of the victim, said that if an arrest order is issued, the Mexican government would have to request Beresford’s extradition, a process that could take several years.
