Heather Locklear was issued a citation last Saturday following a hit and run incident near her home in Westlake Village, CA, RadarOnline.com can confirm.
According to cops Locklear's black BMW mounted the curb and struck a 'no parking' sign, around 4am. However, the person that heard the accident didn't report it until 7.45pm that night.
Ventura County Sheriff's Department deputies investigated the scene of the accident, concluding it was Locklear's car that had caused the damage.
This was further confirmed upon inspection of Locklear's car, which displayed damage consistent with the crash. Locklear was taken to the station where she was issued a citation for hit-and-run.
Locklear was not taken into custody though, just cited and released.
This isn't the first time Locklear has been in trouble with the cops - back in 2008 the actress was busted in Santa Barbara for allegedly driving under the influence of prescription drugs.
