VIDEO: Jessica Simpson Talks Racy Massages And Gets Glimpse Of Relationship Future

After a firestorm of media, Jessica Simpson’s new VH1 show The Price of Beauty had its debut Monday night. RadarOnline.com gives you a rundown of the half hour show’s highlights including Simpson’s sexy comment about massages and what a fortune teller told her about the next man in her life.

First stop on her globetrotting search with hairstylist Ken Paves and Cacee Cobb was Bangkok, Thailand, for massages. “I thought Thai massages had happy endings. I was just wondering where mine was,” Simpson said afterwards.
Simpson balked in disbelief when a fortune teller told her she had, “very good luck in love.” (He clearly doesn’t know about Nick Lachey, John Mayer or Tony Romo!) The fortune teller also added that her next man would be on the smaller side in terms of body frame. The experience struck a nerve: “I got chill bones from head to toe when the fortune teller said ‘you’re really going to fall in love.’ And of course now I’m single so that was comforting. Fingers crossed.”

A less popular stop was the market stall that sold insects. “How are you going to do this, Jessica? You can’t even eat salmon,” she asked herself about the possibility of consuming the fried bugs. Simpson was a trooper, swallowing a little insect (though she then promptly gagged in disgust).
A deeper eye-opening experience for the singer came after learning that Thai women were fascinated with lightening their skin, the reverse of the American obsession of tanning. She then met a woman who ended her singing career and lost her husband after her skin got permanently damaged from lightening products.
After a commercial break, the mood lightened in- of all places- a Buddhist temple. During a meeting with a monk, the trio had to do some meditation which resulted in Simpson erupting into a giggling fit forty minutes into it. “For some reason I couldn’t be at peace with myself, so maybe I have a little more work to do,” the bubbly blonde said in a shockingly self-aware moment.
After an elephant ride, they stopped at a village where women elongated their necks with the use of rings which can weigh up to twenty pounds. Simpson got a shock when she was asked to choose the pig they would later have for their celebratory dinner. “I don’t normally walk out in Texas and say, ‘I want that cow for my burger,’” Simpson said in retrospect.
All in all, Simpson came off likeable in her earnestness to interact with whomever she encountered and Paves and Cacee made able sidekicks for the goofy ride. While it might not offer too much in terms of insight, it shows a maturing side of Simpson which once again makes for entertaining television.
