The Top 12 from Fox’s mega hit American Idol had their first photo shoot, and RadarOnline.com has all the behind the scenes video.

Andrew Garcia calls it “a crazy experience,” and Lacey Brown says “we’re taking some pictures, getting pretty and trying on some new looks.”

For Paige Miles, trying on outfits is “better than the mall—no crowds, no one to tussle over saying ‘This is my shirt!’

The final 12 have spent the last two weeks together virtually 24/7 and Big Mike Lynche says “I’ve made great, great friends so far.”

Virtually overnight the Idols have become famous, but heartthrob Casey James says he doesn’t get nervous on stage. “I don’t think about it when I’m on stage, because I’m so into the song. I never, ever think about anything but what I’m doing!”   The youngest Idol, Aaron Kelly, says seeing himself on national TV is strange, “it’s like ‘That’s me? Do I really look like that?’”

Siobhan Magnus, who nailed Tuesday night’s performance with a perfect review from all four judges, says “I want people who ware watching the show to remember about me that I stayed true to myself. I didn’t care so much what other people thought of me.”

Frontrunner Crystal Bowersox says “it starts with lyrics. If the lyrics are meaningful and deep and you can connect with the song, that’s the beginning.”

“You have to be fearless,” is what Didi Benami, says. She and Lee DeWyze say the Idol experience is the best training a singer can get. “This is going to make me want it even more.” ”Lee confesses.

Tim Urban is still saying an Amen for his Hallelujah performance, “I enjoyed every single moment of it. I wasn’t worried what the judges were going to say afterward.”

But Katie Stevens had the most interesting description of the process: “it’s like your parents dressed you up, picked a song for you and you were singing at their birthday party.”
