Jay Leno returns as host of The Tonight Show Monday night, and RadarOnline.com has a sneak peek at what to expect when Jay kicks off his second stint as host in wake of Conan O’Brien’s widely-publicized and widely-mourned departure.

Among the guests slated to appear on The Tonight Show during its' first two weeks back are Olympic standouts Shaun White, Apolo Anton and Lindsey Vonn; former vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin, American Idol kingpin Simon Cowell, Idol runner-up Adam Lambert, Matthew McConaughey, Twilight's Kristen Stewart and the red-hot cast of Jersey Shore.

Leno’s longtime band leader, jazz guitarist Kevin Eubanks is expected to return to the Tonight Show, although there’s been much talk that he wants a lesser role on the show, and will eventually leave to pursue other opportunities.

Leno consistently beat arch-rival David Letterman in the ratings when the two competed head-to-head during Leno’s first go-around as host of The Tonight Show, but Letterman surged to number one when O’Brien took over as host.

Letterman’s team isn’t taking any chances; for their first week up against Leno again, they’ve booked former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney and interestingly enough, two NBC stars: Jerry Seinfeld and journalist Tom Brokaw.

The Tonight Show airs weeknights on NBC at 11:35/10:35 c.
