“Runaways” Star Style Evolution: Dakota Fanning

At 16-years-old, Dakota Fanning is a longtime veteran of Hollywood. Making a name for herself in 2001, playing the daughter of Sean Penn’s character in I Am Sam, Dakota has grown up and gotten glam, right before our eyes! In The Runaways, Dakota plays her edgiest role yet, the lead singer of the band, Cherie Currie. At the film’s Los Angeles and New York premieres, Dakota has sparkled and shimmered on the red carpet in stunning minis from Valentino and Elie Saab.
In her younger years, Dakota used the red carpet as a game of dress up, playing around in everything from girl scout uniforms to princess gowns, but over the last year, her style has sophisticated, and she has been sampling haute couture’s biggest runway designers.
