Rock Revival: The Concert T-Shirt

The Joan Jett bio-pic, The Runaways, which opened to a limited release this past Friday, was a stylish blast to the past, with Dakota Fanning and Kristen Stewart frolicking around in towering platform shoes, ripped up t-shirts and crazy face paint. While the 1980’s look isn’t so wearable anymore, celebs have discovered that it is quite easy to get the vintage rock look by wearing concert t-shirt replicas by hip lines like Junk Food Clothing and Chaser LA.
Though they don’t have the stains and rips of the authentic concert t-shirt, the fabrics have been refined and the silhouettes re-cut, so they are a bit more figure-flattering than the real thing! And while a vintage concert t-shirt can set you back hundreds of dollars, you can snag the recreations from $28 to $78.
