Corey’s best friend Corey Feldman was not at the funeral. As RadarOnline.com reported he is angering some of Haim’s friends by planning a memorial in LA at a later day. They claim he is using Haim’s death to promote himself.

"The family has decided to make Corey's funeral on Tuesday a small private affair," Feldman said in a statement. "Understanding the recent media attention and to be respectful of the family's wishes I have decided not to attend. Instead I will remain in Los Angeles quietly mourning and planning his memorial."

At first, it was reported that Corey Haim's funeral costs would be covered by the memorabilia company that is auctioning off some of his belongings. Then, it was widely reported that the City of Toronto had agreed to pick up costs, but now city officials are saying they never received a request.

On Corey’s msypace page it states:  “In lieu of sending any flowers for Corey's funeral, Judy suggested a wonderful idea:  Please send some flowers, in memory of Corey, to the cancer ward @ your local hospital. :*) “
