Stephanie Edwards, a top 12 finisher on the sixth season of American Idol in 2007, was taken into custody around 10:00 p.m. Monday night in Savannah, Georgia, RadarOnline.com has learned, in connection with accusations she was involving in a girl fight.
Edwards, 22, was arrested by the Chatham County Sheriff’s Dept., who said they broke up a fight between her and another woman. She has since been released, officials told RadarOnline.com.
The singer told authorities she was intent on discussing a string of “harassing phone calls” with the woman when things got out of hand. Edwards sported a visible scratches on her face and chest, police said, while the other woman’s eye was blackened.
