Mel Gibson has "moved on" from his now infamous 2006 DUI and subsequent alleged anti-Semitic rant, and he wishes everyone else would too - no one more so than Chicago's WGN TV's Dean Richards.

Gibson lashed out at the reporter after he questioned him about whether Gibson thinks the public perceive him differently after the incident, ending in Gibson calling Richards an obscene name when he thought the cameras had stopped rolling!

Richards started out by asking Gibson if he feels he is a different or better person that he was four or five years ago, saying he's had a lot of ups and downs over the past years. Gibson insists that he is "the same person I always was except for people as they go time teaches you and you learn as you go."

Pushing further Richards asks Gibson if he thinks the public perceive him any differently after all that's been in the news about him. Gibson, getting visibly irritated tries to laugh the question off, asking, "What are you referring to specifically?"

Richards cuts to the chase, telling Gibson he's "referring to the drinking problems, referring to the, what's been called, the anti-Semitic rant."

Gibson, clearly not happy or comfortable with the line of questioning, says, "That was almost 4 years ago dude. I've moved on, I guess you haven't." And referring to whether the public have moved on, "I certainly hope so. It is a while back. I've done all the necessary mea culpas, so let's move on dude, come on."

The interview grinds to an awkward end with Gibson sipping his drink before waving goodbye. But, as a final parting shot, presumably when Gibson thinks the cameras have stopped rolling, he lets his true feelings be known, calling Richards, "A**hole!"
