The saying goes “curiosity killed the cat,” but this cat’s curiosity is a killer in and of itself.
Meet Oscar the cat -- actually, you don't want to, at least in person. The 5-year-old feline, who resides at a Rhode Island nursing home, has carved out a macabre reputation for himself, predicting 50 deaths of patients in the center, as he nuzzles up only to people who are about to die.
Dr. David Dosa, a geriatrician and assistant professor at Brown University, wrote a book about the cat's bizarre ability titled Making Rounds With Oscar: The Extraordinary Gift of an Ordinary Cat.

Dosa told Fox News that the cat’s ability has also given the dying patients more time with loved ones in their final moments.
"He does allow us, at times, to notify family members earlier than we normally would," he said.
The book is in stores now.
