Redmond O'Neal Released From Jail To Return To Treatment

A judge ordered Redmond O’Neal out of  jail and back to in-patient residential treatment at Impact in Pasadena during a court session Tuesday.

O'Neal had been sent back to jail after he was found to be under the influence upon his return to his treatment center following a 24-hour release pass. Until his most recent relapse Redmond had been clean for six months after battling drug problems for years.

Judge Michael Tynan told Redmond, "After residential treatment, I'm going to put you into sober living. You will be given supervised passes only. You understand that? We know what your trigger can be, and I'm not going to say it in open court. I hope you take advantage of this. I think you can make it. Truth and trust, you are having trouble opening up. Maybe the truth will make you free."

And if O’Neal got a break Tuesday, maybe it’s because he had a guardian angel in court with him. Today would have been the 63rd birthday of his mother Farrah Fawcett, who died from cancer last year.

Redmond's probabtion was re-instated, and his next court date will be March 3rd.
