EXCLUSIVE VIDEO INTERVIEW: will.i.am On We Are The World Remake: "I Was Crying"

Twenty-five years after Hollywood and the music industry joined forces to record the charity song We Are The World, they did it again! Everyone from Barbara Streisand to Miley Cyrus came out Monday to be a part of the historical remake at L.A.'s Jim Henson studio, the very same studio where the original video was shot.

One of the participants, Grammy winner will.i.am stopped to speak exclusively with RadarOnline.com's Allison Swan and told us the night was all about Haiti.  In fact the multi-talented artist, who reportedly has a solo in the big song, still had tears in his eyes.

"It was real emotional there was a bunch of kids from Haiti that were filming, survivors of the earthquake, and it was emotional.  I was crying they were crying, but at the same time it was beautiful to see the music industry coming together to do what they can and bring awareness and make sure that the money that was raised goes to the right places and help rebuild Haiti.  Of course people need water, they need food water and shelter but let's not just build houses that will turn into shacks ten years form now.  Let's build real structures.  Haiti was messed up way before the earthquake and now is the opportunty to really give them the stability and the structure they need to thave a real future and participate in the world."

Wyclef Jean - just back from the ravaged Carribean country - told RadarOnline.com that the night was "beautiful" and thanked everyone for their support for Haiti.

And producer Swizz Beats revealed that he missed his plane back to New York to stay and be a part of the show.  Swizz, rumored to be engaged to Alicia Keyes, told RadarOnline.com he will help with producing the track.

"I'm actually taking it back to New York tonight and I'm going to add some of the hypes and making it a monumental event," Beats said.
