Tacked to the door of the apartment across the hall from his, he left a cryptic note addressed to "Solange" with instructions about a hide-a-way bed. He signed it, "Thanks Andrew."

Strangely, Koenig told one neighbor that he was going on vacation which was at odds with the way he was quickly paring down his life.

“He started putting all his stuff out front trying to sell it. I actually got a cabinet from him because he said he was going to put it up on Craigslist for $175 but that if I wanted it I could just have it," the neighbor said.

“He told me he was going up to Vancouver and was excited to go on vacation. Looking back though, it’s weird that he got rid of everything he owned before going on a vacation.  He was a nice guy, always very friendly with me. I hope he’s alright.”
