EXCLUSIVE: Boston Legal Star Justin Mentell's Funeral Details

Days after he was found dead in an embankment near Madison, Wisconsin, 27-year old Boston Legal star Justin Mentell will be remembered by family and friends during services held in Texas and Illinois.

Longtime friend Sharon Yap told RadarOnline.com exclusively that a viewing will be held at the Restland Funeral Home in Dallas, Texas, on Friday night with the funeral to be held on Saturday.
On Febuary 13, friends and relatives will gather at the Jack Benny Center for the Arts in Waukegan, Ill., for a memorial service. For the past few years, Mentell had been living in the suburb outside of Chicago.
Yap said Iowa County police investigators no longer believe Mentell fell asleep at the wheel. Instead, they believe the actor missed a sharp curve which lead his vehicle to drive into an embankment.
“He was on a very dark rural road and they think that he missed the curve,” Yap said. “He went straight into the embankment. It was a rural area with no streetlights. He was driving late at night before sunrise so it was dark. A farmer found him.”
Yap said there are no plans for an autopsy and police do not believe alcohol was involved.
“He was a vegetarian and lead a very healthy lifestyle,” Yap said. “He went too soon. He will be greatly missed!”
