Billy Baldwin is speaking out for the first time since the announcement that his wife Chynna Phillips checked into rehab for anxiety.

Chynna Phillips Checks Into Rehab For "Anxiety"

In an exclusive interview with RadarOnline.com on Monday, Baldwin sounded distraught and overwhelmed.

“It doesn’t really matter to me what’s being said about me in the press,” Baldwin told RadarOnline.com. “I have too many other things to worry about. I don’t care about what other people think. I care about my wife and my children."

Baldwin is keeping his priorities in focus as he and his family cope with Chynna's treatment. “I don’t feel like dealing with the press when I’ve got my wife in rehab and I’ve got three little kids.”

Her father John Phillips' former wife Farnaz Phillips told RadarOnline.com that she is hopeful the singer will get through this rocky period and come out stronger.

“If I know Chynna, she will be fine. If anything sent her to get help, it  was most likely family problems but I know she will get through it.”

Edward Perry, founder and director of Los Angelitos Orphanage who Chynna volunteers with, also had only glowing words, calling her a "role model."

"Chynna Phillips is a blessing for us and has done much to help us here at the orphanage," he told RadarOnline.com. "She has done extensive fundraising efforts for our organization, and is a role model for the children. We have  25 girls that are fans of her's, sing along with her songs and dance along with her videos."
