Charlie Sheen will not have to wait until Monday's hearing in Colorado to be criminally charged in connection with the Christmas Day incident with his wife, Brooke Mueller.

The actor is expected to be charged with felony menacing either Friday or early Monday morning. He will also be charged with a misdemeanor for the incident during which he allegedly threatened to kill Mueller.

“Arnold, Chief Deputy District Attorney Mordkin has previously told Sheen that he could be charged with felony menacing, felony assault and misdemeanor criminal mischief," a Colorado court insider confirmed to RadarOnline.com. "The fact that the arraignment is happening at the District Court is an indication that at least one felony charge will be placed against him – misdemeanors are handled in County Court."
