Hollywood power brokers "have blood on their hands," Brittany Murphy's widower, Simon Monjack told The Today Show Thursday, saying a pulled offer to the actress to star in Happy Feet 2 -- based on rumors surrounding the late starlet’s drug abuse -- broke her heart, ultimately leading to her untimely death.

"I hope they wash them with very hot water because of the way they treated Brittany Murphy while she was alive," Monjack told Matt Lauer of the show business crowd he says made his late wife an outsider in Tinseltown.

Monjack, along with Murphy's mother, Sharon Murphy, talked about 8 Mile star's final weeks just more than a month after the actress was found in her Los Angeles home on December 20.

"Let's set the record straight once and for all," Monjack said. "Brittany was not taking any medication for her mood, for anorexia, -- it's utterly ridiculous that these rumors have perpetuated."

Murphy's mother, Sharon Murphy, said the whole family had been overtaken by winter-related sickness, though Monjack said the late actress was the healthiest of the bunch. Monjack said many of the medications found at the couple’s home were his.

While the toxicology reports of the 32-year-old’s death have yet to be made public, a report taken as the death scene indicated that "no alcohol containers, paraphernalia or illegal drugs were discovered," but ten different medications were found present at the scene, including Klonopin, Carbamazepine, Ativan, Vicoprofen, Hydrocodone, Topamax, Propranolol, Biaxin, Methylprednisolone, Fluoxetine and miscellaneous vitamins.
