Michael Jackson Returns In 3D, King Of Pop To Be Honored At The Grammys

Sunday's Grammy Awards are going to be an emotion–charged event because Michael Jackson concert footage will be shown in 3-D.

Neil Portnow, the man in charge of music's biggest night spoke to RadarOnline.com at Friday's Music Cares Benefit in Los Angeles and said he expects the 3-D tribute to the King of Pop will be a fitting tribute.

"It's going to be very special, it's going to be very emotional,” said Portnow, the President of the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences.

“We've been able to get the film footage that Michael had created for the tour he was going to do.

“He created this film because it has a message and it's his message.  

“So now, we can get that message to millions and millions of people all around the world, and in this country it's going to be done in 3-D."

So, what is the late King of Pop’s message? “We need to take care of our planet. It is a very environmental piece," said Portnow.

Superstars including Usher, Celine Dion, Carrie Underwood, Jennifer Hudson and Smokey Robinson will all perform alongside the footage.

And as for rumors that MJ's kids - Prince, Paris and Blanket - will make an appearance, as their father is posthumously honoured? According to the man in charge, "Anything is possible."
