Britney Spears has a date with Commissioner Reva Goetz on Friday afternoon in Los Angeles to discuss her ongoing conservatorship. Commissioner Goetz will be meeting with the pop star, who has been under conservatorship for almost two years, in chambers and away from prying eyes, a source close to Britney tells RadarOnline.com. This will be only the second time that Spears has been in court regarding her conservatorship. However, just because Britney is meeting with Goetz, don't expect the conservatorship to end anytime soon.

"For the conservatorship to end, an interested party must formally file a petition with the Court requesting that it come to an end,” a Spears family insider tells RadarOnline.com. “The judge would have to schedule a hearing on the matter, and it would be taken under submission. Britney, her father Jamie Spears, Bryan Spears, her brother, or one of their respective attorneys acting on their behalf could file the petition, and at this point nothing has been filed.”

The family friend tells RadarOnline.com that everyone just wants to "make sure that Britney is in a good, safe place, emotionally and physically when the conservatorship does end. The last thing anyone wants that is involved is for the conservatorship to end too soon because Britney has made such tremendous progress, and going back to the days that led up to the conservatorship just can't happen again."
