Actor turned animal rights activist Ken Wahl is clawing mad: the award-winning leading man of the late 80s/early 90s hit crime drama, Wiseguy, is offering his Golden Globe award to catch the sadist responsible for gluing a kitten to a highway in Minnesota, leading to the poor kitty's death.

"Men who pick on cats are sick cowards that have control issues, since cats are half wild and independent," Wahl told us exclusively. "We're not just finding a kitten killer, we are preventing this person becoming a serial killer."

Wahl's anger revolves around an incident that got national attention  last month, in which Timothy, a 10-month-old kitten, was found glued to a Minnesota highway in freezing temperatures. Samaritans found the kitten -- which had also been struck by a vehicle by that point -- and tried to nurse him back to no avail, as the kitten died from severe trauma frost bite ten days later.

Wahl isn't alone in his determination to nab the abuser, as SecondChanceSiouxFalls.com, an animal rescue organization, has offered up an additional $12,000 to find the kitty killer.

The 55-year-old Windy City native, who played undercover FBI agent Vinnie Terranova on Wiseguy, was nominated for an Emmy in addition to winning a Golden Globe for his hit series.

He currently lives in Arizona with his wife, fellow animals right activist  Shane Barbi, one of the famed Barbi Twins, who he has been married to since 1997. In addition to his philanthropy as an animal activist, he has also been involved in charities for disabled veterans.
