Rosie O’Donnell has opened-up about the new lady in her life, Tracy Kachtick Anders, and has admitted that her new relationship has left her feeling like her superstar pal Madonna.

The controversial openly gay star made her comments on her daily SIRIUS XM show Rosie Radio.

O’Donnell claimed that her relationship with Anders differed from the one she previously had with long-term partner Kelli Carpenter because now she is much more famous herself.

She revealed: “We went out to see a movie and walk around Lincoln Road (in Miami) and there were lots of people taking photos of us – and then people following us in the car taking photos.

“I felt like Madonna for a moment – truthfully I’m not really that kind of famous where people follow me.”

O’Donnell, who started dating mom-of-six Anders at the end of 2009, describes her as a ‘lovely, lovely, lovely, lovely person’.

And that she was amazed that her new relationship was announced live as breaking news on CNN.

Like O'Donnell, Texas based artist Kachtick-Anders is active in lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender parenting and adoption issues.

She launched Open Arms Campaign, a non-profit organization to recruit and foster adoptive families that targets the LGBT community.

“I have become an activist and work to educate everyone, not only about the plight of foster children," she wrote on TheRainbowBabies.com.

"But also the inequality that faces LGBT people in their quest to create families."

Kachtick-Anders has six children, five of whom are adopted, according to the Examiner.com.

O'Donnell, meanwhile, is gearing up for the airing on HBO in late January of A Family Is A Family Is A Family: A Rosie O'Donnell Celebration, a documentary that challenges the traditional ideas of family.
