Grammy Nominees To Be Announced In LA; Why Lady Gaga Can’t Be Best New Artist

The nominees for the 52nd annual Grammy Awards ceremony will be announced at The Grammy Nominations Concert Live!! -- Countdown To Music's Biggest Night, which takes place at Club Nokia in Los Angeles on Wednesday night.

Musical talents including the Black Eyed Peas, Maxwell and Sugarland are all slated to perform at the event, which will be hosted by LL Cool J.

One fast-rising talent you won't see up for this year's Best New Artist category is Lady GaGa, who lost her eligibility when her catchy hit, Just Dance, was nominated in the Best Dance Recording category a year ago; Jennifer Hudson faced a similar situation last year, when her participation on the Dreamgirls soundtrack from the prior year had excluded her from the same honors.
