Rachel Uchitel was set to go public and admit her affair with Tiger Woods until a last-minute flurry of phone calls between her rep and representatives for the golfer, RadarOnline.com is reporting exclusively.

Multiple sources told RadarOnline.com exclusively that Tiger’s people are desperate to keep Rachel from talking about Tiger and that they were willing to go a long, long way to keep her silent.

One source claimed that Rachel was negotiating a $1 million payoff by Tiger’s people to remain silent. When asked about this, Gloria Allred told RadarOnline.com, “no comment.”

Uchitel adamantly denied a sexual relationship with Tiger but was caught in a series of contradictions and lies. The National Enquirer broke the story of Uchitel’s affair, a report that triggered other women coming forward and revealing their affairs with Tiger.

RadarOnline.com was first to report Wednesday night that Rachel had now decided to tell the truth and was going to reveal the details of her months-long affair. Her attorney Gloria Allred scheduled a news conference for Thursday.

But Allred abruptly canceled the press event Thursday morning with no explanation.

What’s more, RadarOnline.com has confirmed through numerous sources that Rachel has been seeking a payday for the rights to the story of her affair with Tiger.
